Day 1: Sunday
Arrive at the Managua airport and meet your local driver as you exit customs. Enjoy the 2½ hour drive to San Juan del Sur. Get settled in your room, meet your roommates for the week, and get out onto the beach. Enjoy dinner, a meet and greet and learn a bit about Nicaragua before a gentle post travel yoga and meditation session.
Day 2: Monday
Wake up bright and early for sunrise yoga before a delicious breakfast of local fruit, fresh coffee, protein and a Nicaraguan specialty, gallo pinto. Get ready for your first surf lesson, included in your trip. Wind down your day with afternoon yoga, a healthy fresh cooked dinner and time to reflect, sleep or socialize.
Day 3: Tuesday
After morning yoga and breakfast, pick your adventure for the day such as another surf lesson, an excursion to one of the many hidden beaches in the area, or some time on the water. Regroup in the early afternoon to visit our community partner, Barrio Planta Project, and enjoy a (semi!) structured afternoon of yoga with the kids, and arts project, and time for some play and English/Spanish practice while learning about the importance of this non-profit as a secondary education source for the San Juan del Sur community. Back at the villa, enjoy a well deserved yoga session and healthy dinner.
Day 4: Wednesday
After morning yoga and breakfast, use your free time for a hike, some surfing, or more R&R on the beach. Consider taking one of Angelena's optional workshops: Acro Yoga or Thai Massage Basics. You could also head to town to check out a local art space, take a chocolate making class or get a massage. Regroup later to catch the sunset before an long evening yoga session & a well-earned mea.
Day 5: Thursday
Follow an invigorating morning yoga session with your healthy Nicaraguan breakfast. Now that you’ve gotten to know San Juan del Sur and your fellow yoga travelers, pick your adventures for the day. Consider a private yoga session or massage in town, or more R&R by the beach. Join for an optional excursion to Hermosa beach for a relaxing afternoon and spectacular sunset, and regroup after for special farewell dinner and time in the evening for reflection and socialization with your new friends.
Day 6: Friday
Join in a short pre-travel yoga session that will get you stretched and zenned for your going home plans. Breakfast will be available extra early so that you’ll have time to pack up and prepare for 5-6 hours between leaving San Juan del Sur and your afternoon flight out in Managua. Our transfers will take people to the airport in groups according to their departure time with the last group leaving by 12:00 noon.

Stacey believes by using breath, body and mind to work together we can deepen our connection and experience. Yoga can bring a simple strength and focus to ‘find a way’ through the storm of life.
Vinyasa, Yin, Power, Hatha, Kundalini, Iyengar, Anusara, Jivamukti, Iyengar & Ashtanga are other types of Yoga she has learned and practiced over the last 11 years.

A $250 non-refundable deposit is required for each traveler to secure the booking.
Payments can be made either by 1) full payment on booking 2) $250 deposit on booking + payment schedule per registration. Payments will be invoiced via e-mail for credit card or Paypal payment online. To pay by check, please indicate on registration and make check payable to Traverse Journeys and send to PO Box 40516, Austin, TX 78704.
Cancellations, less the deposit ($250), are refundable through November 25th, 2018. The full payment and refund plan is outlined in the booking form. We do allow for last minute transfers of the same gender for a $150 admin fee. Please notify us immediately in the case of a transfer.
Travel insurance is required for all trips with Traverse, and must cover injury, medical, evacuation, and repatriation as well as trip cancellation and trip interruption. Most insurance companies require purchase to be made within 2-3 weeks of booking for full benefits (in particular, trip cancellation). Once insurance is obtained, a copy must be sent to Traverse. Failure to provide proof of insurance within 30 days of booking will result in trip booking suspension until proof of insurance has been provided. We suggest using Wanderwell, a B-Corp Certified provider, or you can choose from any carrier that meets our requirements.
Documents, Personal Identification, Vaccinations
Traveler is responsible for all required travel documents including passport, visas, entry or exit fees, and vaccinations. Traverse does not cover the cost or assist in obtaining any of the above, and reserves the right to collect information on all.
