Cuba Photography to Inspire Your Travels

Chris Anderson

“The simplicity of this man walking his kids to school while holding their hands was so wholesome and made me feel nostalgic. At first glance, it’s an act that might seem commonplace. Against the stark backdrop, I was able to truly appreciate the moment.” - Chris Anderson

“I love this moment. We were walking on the intersection of two main roads, Paseo de Marti and Malecon, and the group continued on but I hung back when I noticed the light on the old building. The light that is reflected in direct sun on a window is always so beautiful and worth a second look. I hung back for a few minutes, waiting for the heavy traffic to clear, and when it did there was one perfect instant with that old blue car, a colonial-style building, and a ray of sunlight.” - Una Simone Harris

“I was enchanted by Trinidad and how personal everything was. Everyone had such a distinct path that they were following throughout the day. This was a special moment to see several paths converge and the small crowd who gathered at the corner butcher while waiting for their evening cuts.” - Una Simone Harris

“As a potter myself, it was so special to visit a ceramicist studio while in Cuba. His shop was something out of a fairytale. The ceramist was so weathered and well-practiced that when he did a demo, I was blown away by the speed and steadiness of his hands.” - Una Simone Harris

“I was out for a sunrise walk and came across these two girls, dawdling and dreamily playing with their parents waiting patiently nearby. This was such a charming scene, and sweet to see that regardless of where the trip to school is always a winding one.” - Una Simone Harris
