We are committed to monitoring the situation closely as it uniquely affects each destination and region worldwide, and will continue to do so with the help of trusted sources like the CDC and the WHO, as well as local governing bodies. The safety and wellness of our travelers and staff is a priority to us, as are the worldwide partners and communities we support.

How We’ve Adapted:

New Flexible Booking Policy

In the wake of COVID-19, Traverse has implemented a fully revised flexible booking policy that allows for deposits and payments to be transferable to the greatest extent possible to new trip dates should a COVID-19 related occurence render travel impossible (due to border closures and or other travel restrictions). We’ve also relaxed our policies in cases where a guest needs to postpone or cancel due to a COVID-19 related reason.

In most situations your full payments will be transferable to future dates, and your payments may also be eligible for a refund if you need to cancel. For a full breakdown of our COVID-19 booking policies, please inquire and we’ll be happy to send our flexible terms and conditions to you in full.

COVID Safety measures

When you travel with us, we want you to know that your safety is our top priority. In the wake of COVID, we’ve created a comprehensive Safety and Risk Management Framework for all our operations, addressing six key components of travel safety. The framework is guided by the Adventure Travel Trade Association, the Cleveland Clinic, the CDC, WHO, Travel.state.gov and a cohort of adventure travel and small group travel operators.

Pre-Travel Protocols

For each destination, we follow the local entry requirements which may include vaccination and/or Covid testing. As always, we require travel insurance for all guests on our trips, and recommend checking for Covid-related coverage. We also ask that all guests fill out a medical questionnaire with information on their vaccination status, and sign an agreement to follow local Covid restrictions and protocols.

We also hosted many online events in 2020 and 2021 in order to travel together Virtually, and to keep our community connected and positive!
