The most extraordinary journey you'll take isn't to Patagonia.
It's the one back to yourself.
There comes a season in every woman's life when the question changes. For years, you've climbed—building a career, raising a family, supporting others, chasing goals, and carrying responsibilities that few people ever see. You've become incredibly capable. But somewhere along the way, you may have stopped asking yourself one simple question: What do I need?
Patagonia has a way of asking that question for you.
Surrounded by ancient mountains, turquoise lakes, sweeping valleys, and endless skies, the noise begins to fade. The pressure to perform softens. The pace slows. And something remarkable happens: you begin to hear your own voice again.
The Summit Within: Returning to Yourself in Patagonia is an eight-day women's leadership expedition that blends breathtaking hiking, embodied leadership practices, meaningful conversation, and intentional reflection into an unforgettable experience of renewal. This isn't about escaping your life—it's about returning to it with greater clarity, confidence, resilience, and joy.
At the heart of the journey is Chilean Patagonia's legendary W Trek in Torres del Paine National Park. Over four unforgettable days, you'll hike approximately 45 miles (72 km) through towering granite peaks, turquoise lakes, ancient glaciers, and windswept valleys, guided by experienced, certified bilingual local trekking guides who know these mountains intimately. Along the trail and around camp each evening, Kim will thoughtfully weave in embodied leadership practices, mindfulness, and opportunities for reflection and connection, creating space to slow down and reconnect with yourself alongside an inspiring community of women.
Celebrate your accomplishment with a scenic Grey Glacier cruise, extend your stay with an optional wellness day on the shores of the Última Esperanza Fjord, or ease into your adventure with an optional two-day Santiago extension featuring colorful Valparaíso and the celebrated wineries of the Casablanca Valley.

Its soaring granite peaks, turquoise lakes, ancient glaciers, and endless skies invite you to slow down, breathe more deeply, and reconnect with yourself in a way that's difficult to find in everyday life. Every mile of the legendary W Trek becomes more than a hiking challenge—it becomes an invitation to step away from the noise, rediscover your inner strength, and remember the woman you've always been beneath the expectations, responsibilities, and constant doing.
Designed for women navigating the rich and transformative season of midlife, this retreat is for leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, caregivers, and changemakers who are ready to invest in themselves. FAQS
-
This retreat is designed for women in midlife who are seeking adventure, personal growth, and meaningful connection. Whether you're a leader, entrepreneur, professional, caregiver, or simply navigating a season of transition, you don't need prior trekking experience—just a reasonable level of fitness, an open mind, and a willingness to challenge yourself. If you're craving time away from daily responsibilities to reconnect with yourself through movement, nature, and community, this retreat was created for you.
-
The W Trek is considered a moderately to challenging multi-day hike. Over four days, you'll trek approximately 45 miles (72 km) through Torres del Paine National Park, encountering rocky trails, mountain passes, and steady elevation gain while carrying a daypack. A good level of fitness and regular hiking preparation are recommended, but no technical climbing experience is required.
-
Kim Jeffs is an Embodied Leadership & Somatic Coach who helps women reconnect with themselves through body-based practices, reflection, and intentional leadership. Throughout the retreat, she'll weave together embodied leadership practices, guided reflection, meaningful conversations, and somatic exercises that complement the physical journey. Rather than simply completing a bucket-list hike, you'll learn practical tools to build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and integrate the lessons of the trail into everyday life.
-
While the W Trek is an incredible adventure in its own right, this experience goes far beyond simply completing the trail. The retreat intentionally combines professionally guided trekking with embodied leadership practices, personal reflection, and the support of a community of inspiring women. Every day blends physical challenge with opportunities to reconnect with yourself, creating a journey that transforms both body and mind.
-
Along the W Trek, you'll have the option to stay in either a fully equipped tent or a shared refugio (mountain lodge dormitory).
If you choose camping, you'll sleep in a spacious, high-quality, weather-resistant tent that is fully set up before you arrive each evening. Your campsite includes a comfortable sleeping mat, sleeping bag, and pillow, allowing you to enjoy Patagonia's incredible wilderness without the hassle of pitching your own tent. Camping is a wonderful choice for travelers who value extra privacy and a closer connection to nature.
If you choose a refugio, you'll stay in a shared bunk room inside one of the mountain lodges located along the W Trek. Rooms typically accommodate 6–8 hikers and include bedding and a pillow. Refugios provide additional warmth, shelter from Patagonia's famously unpredictable weather, and a more social atmosphere where you'll meet fellow trekkers from around the world.
-
We recommend booking 6–8 months in advance whenever possible. Accommodations inside Torres del Paine National Park are extremely limited, and both camping platforms and refugio bunks often sell out well before the trekking season.
While we can occasionally add guests up to 60 days before departure, availability cannot be guaranteed. We also encourage you to choose your preferred accommodation style—camping or refugio—when you book, as it's often difficult to change reservations later.
-
The W Trek is considered a moderately to challenging multi-day hike and is best suited for travelers with a good level of fitness. During the trek, you'll hike approximately 8–12 miles (13–19 km) per day, with one longer day of up to 17 miles (27 km). Most hiking days last 6–8 hours, depending on the terrain and weather conditions.
Although the highest elevation on the trail is only 3,900 feet (1,190 m)—making altitude much less of a concern than on climbs like Kilimanjaro—the trail itself is rugged and technical, with frequent climbs, descents, rocky sections, and uneven terrain. Trekking poles are highly recommended.
You'll carry a daypack with your daily essentials, and porter services are available for hire if you'd prefer additional support. Patagonia is famous for experiencing sun, wind, rain, and even snow in a single day, so being prepared for rapidly changing weather is just as important as being physically fit. With a few months of hiking and endurance training beforehand, most active travelers are well prepared to enjoy this unforgettable adventure.
-
This is an active retreat, and that's exactly what makes it so transformative. Rather than separating the hiking from the personal development work, Kim thoughtfully integrates embodied leadership practices, guided reflection, meaningful conversations, and somatic exercises throughout the journey. You'll practice these tools on the trail, during breaks, and in the moments between each day's adventure, allowing the mountains themselves to become part of the learning experience. There will certainly be opportunities to pause and soak in Patagonia's extraordinary beauty, but this isn't a traditional relaxation retreat—it's an immersive experience designed to help you build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and return home with practical tools you can immediately apply to your life.
-
Absolutely. Many women join this retreat on their own, and solo travelers are warmly welcomed. From the moment you arrive, you'll become part of a supportive community of women who share a spirit of curiosity, adventure, and personal growth. Many participants leave not only with incredible memories, but also with lifelong friendships.
-
Your retreat includes accommodations, most meals, all ground transportation during the itinerary, experienced local trekking guides, Torres del Paine National Park entrance fees, group activities, and Kim Jeffs' facilitated embodied leadership sessions and workshops. A detailed list of inclusions is available in the itinerary, along with optional pre- and post-trip extensions.
-
Our retreat takes place during Patagonia's autumn, when cooler temperatures, beautiful fall colors, and fewer crowds create exceptional trekking conditions. While mountain weather can change quickly at any time of year, autumn often offers crisp hiking days, spectacular photography, and a quieter experience in Torres del Paine National Park—allowing for a deeper connection with both the landscape and your fellow travelers.
